Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown had nothing but praises for Toronto Raptors superstar Kawhi Leonard in Game 4 of the 2019 Eastern Conference semifinals.

Leonard was a huge headache for Brown and the Sixers on Sunday. The superstar forward finished with 39 points and 14 rebounds on top of five assists to lead the Raptors to a 101-96 win at the Wells Fargo Center to even their series at 2-2.

In the postgame press conference, Brown said that Leonard is too hard to stop. He pointed out that his ability to create shots is similar to Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, even emphasizing that they did everything they can to at least slow him down.

Brett Brown added that Leonard is “punishing” when he is in on the floor. The Sixers looked poise to take a 3-1 lead in the series, as they were just a point behind with almost a minute left in the game.

With 1:01 left to play, however, Leonard knocked down a 3-pointer to extend their lead 94-90. Philadelphia, who thought they would be able to force a turnover after pushing the shot clock down to the last second, failed to recover from the back-breaking shot and bowed down to Toronto.

The Raptors and the Sixers will collide again on Tuesday, May 7, in Toronto.
