On his way to powering the Toronto Raptors to the Western Conference Finals, Kawhi Leonard has set the new franchise record for most points scored in a Game 7.

Per Ben Golliver of the Washington Post, Leonard's 41 points in the do-or-die Game 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers is now the Raptors' franchise record. The previous mark was held by teammate Kyle Lowry, which was set in 2016.

Leonard's 4oth and 41st point was a baseline jumper over the outstretched arms of Joel Embiid. It was a buzzer-beating game-winner that won them the series. The Raptors will now advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and face the Milwaukee Bucks for the ticket to the NBA Finals.

Apart from 41 markers, Leonard also had eight rebounds, three assists and three steals. It was a relatively sub-par shooting night as he was 16-of-39 from the field and 2-of-9 from downtown, but the important thing is that they won the biggest game of their season thus far. In his first year with a new team, the former NBA Finals MVP led them to the Conference Finals.

No one knows for sure if Leonard will stay with the Raptors or move on to a new team. Only he knows what will make him stay, though we can assume that a successful playoff campaign will make him think hard. But for now, Leonard and Co. have to gear up with their upcoming series against the Bucks.
