With the 2017-18 NBA season officially in the books, the Toronto Raptors have seemingly shifted gears into playoff mode a long time ago. Toronto has home-court advantage thanks to their remarkable campaign and point guard Kyle Lowry is looking to take full advantage of it.

The Raptors kick things off by facing the Washington Wizards in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. However, according to Blake Murphy of the Raptors Republic, Lowry is already treating it like a Game 7:

“Our Game 1 is our Game 7 tomorrow.”

Given the nature of social media, fans have joked about Toronto's past success in crucial postseason games. However, it is clear that Lowry is just looking to set the tone for his team moving forward.

The Raptors have established themselves as the best team in the East for quite some time now. Of course, this is not the first year they enjoyed tremendous success in the regular season, only to later crumble in the playoffs. However, players like Lowry and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan are adamant that this is not the same playoff team that they have shown to be in year's past.

It goes without saying that Toronto's success hinges on the performance of their star backcourt. Lowry and DeRozan are now set to square off against another star backcourt in John Wall and Bradley Beal. Fortunately, the pair can also take solace in the fact that their depth is going to give them a tremendous advantage over the other teams in the East.
