Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri says all of his players are eager to prove their doubters wrong next season.
The Raptors are already being counted out of the title race after losing Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green in free agency. Both Leonard and Green played a huge role for the Raps in their triumphant run in the 2019 NBA Finals.
Ujiri said that the remaining players from the championship team have a chip on their shoulders, and they are all eager to make a strong statement next season. The veteran exec is also optimistic of Toronto's future, per Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun.
Masai said he's talked to all of the returning players and they all have a chip on their shoulders (not to mention a title chip) and are eager to compete. Also talked of cap space and flexibility on the way starting next summer. Sounds like a selloff isn't coming though.

After Leonard's departure, speculations about that the Raptors will have a fire sale as they try to rebuild around Pascal Siakam. However, that doesn't seem to be the case, with Ujiri seemingly determined to go with his current group of players.
Kawhi's decision to join the Los Angeles Clippers is undoubtedly a huge blow to the Raptors, who had high hopes of retaining him after their championship run. Nonetheless, Ujiri is still confident that they will do just fine.
In fact, in another report, Ujiri said that he was not disappointed that Kawhi left and emphasized that he's not losing sleep over it.
