Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman took a mini-vacation to Las Vegas during the season once with the permission of head coach Phil Jackson. Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka is looking to do the same thing once basketball gets back.

However, instead of Vegas, Ibaka says he's going to Paris instead:

Ibaka is joking around here, but it has been fun to see the players of today react to “The Last Dance.” It would certainly be big news if a player was able to leave his team and go on a mini-vacation during this era.

Until sports are resumed, “The Last Dance” will be some of the only major sports entertainment we can get. Episodes 5 and 6 will air this Sunday on ESPN and ESPN2.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended due to COVID-19, the Raptors were in second place in the Eastern Conference standings. Toronto had a stellar record of 46-16 despite losing Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green last summer in free agency.

Ibaka appeared in 50 games for the Raptors before the season was suspended. He was averaging 16.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 51.8 percent from the field, 39.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 74.8 percent from the free-throw line.

If the season can be resumed in the summer, Ibaka and the Raptors will be one of the front-runners to win the East. Toronto will likely have to get past the Milwaukee Bucks again to advance to the NBA Finals.

The Raptors defeated the Bucks in the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals in six games after losing the first two games of the series. It would be an even taller task to beat Milwaukee this season, but Ibaka and Toronto shouldn't be counted out if it comes to that down the road.
