Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka has tested negative for the coronavirus after guarding Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert on Monday, per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

Gobert tested positive for the virus on Wednesday. The NBA suspended the season indefinitely.

Jazz All-Star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell is the only other NBA player we know as of now that has the virus other than Gobert:

Serge Ibaka has appeared in 50 games for the Raptors this season. He's averaging 16.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 51.8 percent from the field, 39.8 percent from beyond the arc and 74.8 percent from the free-throw line.

This is great news that Ibaka doesn't have the coronavirus. The NBA deserves to have some good news come out every now and then. After all, 2020 has been a terrible year for basketball thus far.

If the 2019-20 season starts up again, the Raptors will be in second place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 46-18. The Raptors are trying to shock the world and repeat as champions despite the departures of Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green. Canada fans are praying the season comes back, as they also have to deal with the NHL stopping play as well.
