Kevin Durant isn’t one to drop hints. As the star Oklahoma City Thunder forward nears this summer’s free agency, he’s trying to keep from tipping anyone off to where he might want to go. However, he's made it clear that he's not going to one team — the Washington Wizards.

It’s been rumored that he might go to the Wizards, after Thursday when the team hired Durant’s former Thunder coach Scott Brooks. But when asked about possibly making a move to follow his former coach, Durant shot the idea down.

“I ain't really into theories,” Durant told reporters Friday. “I'm focused on the Mavericks.”

He did give Brooks a tip of the hat, saying the he believes Brooks to be a strong leader and is happy that he will have a new opportunity in Washington. However, it was reported on Wednesday that Durant is not particularly interested in playing in his hometown. According to The Vertical, his trip to D.C. was not enjoyable and he has made it clear that when he signs next summer, he won’t be signing with the Wizards.
