Despite drawing interest from a number of teams this summer, free agent guard Ian Clark still remains unsigned.

While many thought he would land with the Los Angeles Lakers, they opted to re-sign Tyler Ennis instead. The good news for the 26-year-old Belmont product is that the Minnesota Timberwolvesare expressing their desire to bring him to their fold as they continue to add more key pieces to further improve their roster.

From Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN:

One free agent the T-Wolves remain interested in is Ian Clark, I hear. Word also is he's turned down other minimum offers.

Clark spent the past two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, winning a championship with them. He is coming off his best season so far as a pro, with career-high averages of 6.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 14.8 minutes per game. Even with limited minutes, he was still a fixture in their rotation and gave his team quality production off the bench night-in and night-out.

Should the Wolves acquire him, he will give them more depth as he has the ability to play both guard spots. With his hustle, Clark can bring a lot of energy to the table and be a mentor to some of the young guns as well. However, it’s his playoff and championship experience that makes him very valuable, and he could become a steal for whatever team ends up signing him.
