Houston Texans fans demand blood for the team's astonishing loss that saw them cede a 24-point lead over the Kansas City Chiefs only to lose by 20 points in the divisional round. Many are calling for the ousting of Bill O'Brien, but it's unlikely that he'll be leaving his post any time soon.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle confirmed the Texans' worst fears: the team has no intention of letting O'Brien go and will return to the team in 2020 for the third year of his four-year deal with the team.

This news spells a lot of trouble for Texans fans who want their team to improve. They have played competitive football with O'Brien in charge, but he has seemingly made it clear in the Chiefs game that he may not be the man who can help the Texans win the Super Bowl.

The Texans made the playoffs four times in his Houston stint if this latest playoff run will be included. Deshaun Watson has helped improve his more recent coaching records, but he has been heralded more as a defensive mind. His failure to seal the win against the Chiefs this past weekend is a sign that he may not have the stuff to help them win.

To further frustrate fans, O'Brien revealed that he still has no plans to hire a GM and believes that the trades he orchestrated this season worked.

“I think that those moves did pay off,” Texans coach Bill O'Brien said, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “Those guys came in, without mentioning each guy specifically, but I do believe that those guys came in and really entered into our culture of what we're trying to do, learned the systems, tried to go out there and those guys played well. I'm sure there's always plays that each one of them wish they could have back, but I think that those guys helped our team win this year, when we won.”

Fans hope that the ownership intervenes and change their mind about it, but it seems like they'll be stuck with O'Brien for a little while longer.
