Take a look at the Class of 2019 in the market and you'll see some RJ Barrett card collectors out there. Even though the New York Knicks' young wing isn't blowing the competition away, his stock still holds some value and promise for those in the hobby. The thing is, there's one guy out there who unexpectedly received his card in the strangest way possible.

In a video shared by Find Your Trove on Instagram, Richard Jefferson was seen flaunting several stacks of Panini's latest Noir Spotlight Signatures cards featuring him in his New Jersey Nets uniform. He was talking to collectors, explaining to them that he was signing his cards until something different came out. It was an RJ Barrett card that somehow got mixed up in Jefferson's stack of memorabilia assigned to him.

The 18-year veteran went on to tease collectors about signing this particular RJ Barrett card by saying its value can go up if he did. This thought lines up with a trend on the market where sports cards with visible and eye-catching errors are gaining more value from hobbyists.

While there aren't any reliable price comps for Jefferson's signed Noir card, those that feature Barrett are doing well in the market. A recent copy was sold on eBay early last month for $212. All things considered, that's still a pretty good price for a promising young player in the NBA.

In the event Jefferson does sign Barrett's Noir card, there's a pretty big chance it can do better than its most recent price comp on eBay. But whether the former NBA champion signs it or not, it always pays to be on the lookout for those sweet-looking error cards because there won't be anything else like them in the market.
