Houston Rockets star James Harden continues to defy logic with his offensive performances.
In a win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, Harden scored 61 points, marking his first 60-point game and fifth 50-point outing of the season. No other player in the league has more than one this year.

Not only that, but James Harden also notched his 21st straight game with 30 points or more.
The reigning MVP made 17 of his 38 shots, going 5-of-20 from three-point range and 22-of-25 from the free-throw line against the Knicks. He also added 15 rebounds, five steals, and three assists.
It was just the latest outing in a string of amazing scoring outbursts for the 28-year-old, who has also put together 13 40-point performances over the course of his current 21-game stretch.
Over the month of January, Harden is averaging 45.1 points per game.
Harden has now also scored 50 or more points in three of his last five contests, and he has registered double-digit free-throw attempts in eight of his last nine games.
The Beard's run began with a 50-point outing during the Rockets' win over the Los Angeles Lakers back on Dec. 13. He not only scored 32 points the next game but recorded back-to-back triple-doubles.
Throughout this run, James Harden has totaled five triple-doubles overall.
Aside from a miserable 11-of-32 performance in which he missed 16 of his 17 three-pointers in a loss to the Orlando Magic on Jan. 13, Harden has actually been most efficient during this incredible stretch, mainly due to his ability to get to the free-throw line.
