Loki, the god of mischief, might be coming to MARVEL's Avengers.

However, Crystal Dynamics has not made this public. We're only basing this on rumors arising from voice lines found in the game. As spotted by Screen Rant, new voice lines from the recently-released War for Wakanda expansion seem to indicate that Loki is coming to join the Avengers roster soon.

The voice line doesn't actually appear in the English version of MARVEL's Avengers. It also appears to be a spillover from some cut content that still managed to reach the final version of the game. The voice line comes from the French version of the game, with Thor saying, “Already back Loki? Always a pleasure.”

Twitter user Deed-gheth was the one who caught the Loki voice line from the game. To do this, the player needs to get Thor in the room of Zawavari. In the English version, actually, Wanda also gets mentioned. The Scarlet Witch still hasn't made an appearance in MARVEL's Avengers either, so these voice line mishaps between Thor and Zawavari actually leaked two upcoming characters to the game.

We know that when Loki and Wanda do end up in MARVEL's Avengers, they will indeed be playable characters. Zawavari's voice lines, after all, refer to the player's character when they enter his room. Hence, it's safe to assume that these voice lines actually serve as future-proofing content for when new characters arrive in the game.
