There was no shortage of fireworks in the NBA world during this year’s 4th of July celebrations. The Oklahoma City Thunder lost their best franchise player when Kevin Durant decided to join the Golden State Warriors, who just so happened to eliminate OKC from the Western Conference Finals this year.

This move has left Russell Westbrook with the keys to the Thunder offense. Many believe that giving the dynamic point guard more leadership responsibility will inject even more life into the five-time All Star, and that his increased usage will take his individual play to an even higher level. As reported recently however, the team have a few difficult decisions to make regarding his future.

The former UCLA student seemed to be far removed from the mourning of the Thunder organization and its fans yesterday, as he was spotted in a Target store on the campus of his alma mater.
