The Seattle Seahawks were eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday night and some players found out that they had injuries they weren't aware of. Following Sunday's loss, Bobby Wagner's exit physical showed ankle and knee issues.

Usually when players undergo their end-of-season physical, they'll have a decent idea of injuries that they were dealing with. But for Wagner, the veteran linebacker was surprised to see the injuries that were discovered in his physical.

“He found out today that there was something that he didn’t know about. We didn’t even know it was there,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said via Tacoma News Tribune. “He had a little test done, I don’t think it is going to require surgery or anything like that. He didn’t even know he was hurt.

The good news is that Wagner likely won't require surgery for the ailments that were found. At the same time, his knee and ankle issues could cause him to miss the Pro Bowl.

Despite the apparent injuries, Wagner finished the season with 159 tackles, three sacks, seven tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and an interception for the Seahawks. The 159 tackles for the All-Pro linebacker were the most in his career since the 2016 season.

Above all, unlike some of his teammates, Wagner was able to suit up in all 17 games (including playoffs) for the Seahawks. The Seahawks' all-world linebacker hasn't missed more than one game due to injury since 2014.

Last offseason, Wagner spent most of it negotiating a new contract with the Seahwaks. In the end, he landed a three-year, $54 million extension that made him the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL.

This offseason will be a bit different for Wagner as he focuses on getting back to full health for the 2020 season.
