The Seattle Seahawks have had a lot of players banged up this offseason, but fortunately one key piece appears to be back to full strength. Rookie receiver DK Metcalf is back to “100 percent,” he told reporters, via Joe Fann of NBC Sports.

Metcalf was apparently only a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, but he is planning on being a full-go for Sunday's Week 1 game against the Bengals.

“It was good to be out there with the team,” Metcalf said. “It just feels good to be back.”

Metcalf originally missed a bit of camp with an oblique injury, and then had a knee issue shortly after returning from that. He underwent knee surgery, which turned out to be a minor scope.

Metcalf has reportedly been recovering very quickly, and it's been apparent for a while that he is on track for the opener. Metcalf also stated that he didn't feel like the missed practice time set him back, and that he made the most of it.

“I sharpened my mental game and got to learn the offense a little more,” he explained. “Coming from the first game, I got used to the speed of the game and I can't wait to be back out there on Sunday.”

Metcalf blew up the combine back in February with freakish athletic testing. The Ole Miss product was then projected by many to go early in the first round, but he tumbled on draft day.

There were concerns about his route-running, which caused him to fall all the way to the last pick of the second round, when Seattle scooped him up. Fellow receiver David Moore will miss a good chunk of the season, so the Seahawks will be counting on Metcalf to produce right away.
