Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf made quite the splash in his rookie campaign last season.

Now entering his second season, Metcalf dished out some advice for the rookies in the class behind him:

“I think [Seahawks director of player engagement] Mo [Kelly] told us in our rookie meeting: ‘Don’t sit nowhere. Let everybody come in first and sit down. Then you find your seat last,’” Metcalf said, via Rob Maaddi of The Associated Press. “So that really set the tone for the year and how to approach everything. Just wait my turn and soak up as much knowledge from the vets as I could.”

Metcalf appeared to soak up all of the right information in 2019, starting 15 of the Seahawks' regular-season games and accumulating 58 receptions for 900 yards and seven touchdowns. Alongside Tyler Lockett, Metcalf became one half of one of the NFC's most explosive receiving tandems in short time.

Seattle's culture has become a popular destination of emulation in the sports world. Entering a new decade with head coach Pete Carroll still at the helm, the organization won a Super Bowl and made the playoffs in eight of the past 10 years.

While the Seahawks focused on defensive needs early in the 2020 NFL Draft, Metcalf will have two new compatriots in the wide receiver room with Florida's Freddie Swain and LSU's Stephen Sullivan joining him. Having shown experience beyond his years on the field last season, Metcalf brings that into the new year, hoping to help get the rookies acclimated as quickly as possible.
