The Seattle Seahawks got their second win of the season against the Arizona Cardinals but it came with a price. Midway through the third quarter, he had to be carted off the field after suffering a leg injury which turned out to be a lower left leg fracture.

As he was being carted off, he appeared to be giving the middle finger towards the Seahawks' sideline though it was not clear who exactly it was intended for.

Thomas held out for pretty much their whole training camp in hopes of getting a new contract which still has not come. He also has been intentionally skipping practices so he can protect himself from injury so that he can be available to be traded. The safety is currently in the final year of a deal that is paying him $8.5 million in base salary this season.

Unfortunately, this injury happened which could ultimately mean that Thomas might have just played his last down as a Seahawk. This would signal the end of an era in Seattle as Thomas was the last remaining member of the “Legion of Boom” which also included cornerback Richard Sherman, who now plays for the San Francisco 49ers, and Kam Chancellor, who just retired.

As for the Seahawks, Thomas' loss is obviously a big blow to their defense. As he showed with his three picks in four games this season, he's still one of, if not the very best safety in the game. Tedric Thompson will now be tasked with replacing Thomas as the team's starting free safety for the remainder of the season.
