The Seattle Seahawks have a litany of talented players on the team's roster ahead of the 2019-20 season. However, this also means that the Seahawks will be forced to keep several players happy going forward as pass rusher Frank Clark, linebacker Bobby Wagner, and defensive tackle Jarran Reed are all heading into the final seasons of their respective contracts.
As a result, Seahawks general manager John Schneider knows that it will be nearly impossible to keep all three players in Seattle for the foreseeable future. Schneider recently admitted that although it is“feasible,” it will be “very challenging” to keep the trio of Clark, Wagner, and Reed beyond the 2019-20 campaign, via NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.
It is also worth noting that Clark is currently playing under the parameters of the Seahawks' franchise tag, which is a high-paying one-year deal. However, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has publicly stated time and time again that Seattle would love to keep Clark around for the future.

“It is ultimately [the goal], yeah,” Carroll previously said of keeping Clark in Seattle, via the team's official website. “Frankie just turned 25, he's still a very young football player. Made a huge step this year in terms of leadership, growth and maturity. It was so obvious. I was really proud of seeing that develop for Frank. He played great too. Frank, he's a very valuable football player and that's the process we're in the middle of and all that, I can't tell you guys how that's going to turn out, but it's going to be positive for the Seahawks and for Frank.”
Most notably, though, the Seahawks recently re-signed veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, which ties up a good amount of money for years to come.
