The Seattle Seahawks defense is far removed from their days of being the league's best defense as they were just a handful of years ago. Fortunately for the Seahawks they have been able to retain two key players that were around during that time in linebackers K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner. Wright and Wagner have played next to each other since Wagner entered the league back in 2012 and they clearly have a lot of respect for one another as well.

Wright was recently on SiriusXM NFL Radio and told the station he wants to play next to teammate Bobby Wagner for as long as he can. “I definitely want to finish my career playing beside him. We know that, Seattle knows that, we’ll just have to see how it turns out.”

Wright entered the league back in 2011 and both players have been with Seattle for their entire careers. Both players were part of the Super Bowl winning team back in the 2013 season as they demolished the Peyton Manning lead Denver Broncos, 43 t0 8.

Now that Wright is a free agent heading into the 2019 season, he is hoping to stay with the Seattle Seahawks and continue to play alongside Wagner. The Seahawks were once a feared defensive unit, but these two were a huge part of the success so if they can build around these two they may return to elite form. Seattle continues to be relevant due to their consistent level of play and well-balanced roster, but Wright and Wagner are big parts of the team success.
