The Seattle Seahawks seem to be interested in signing one of the remaining running backs in free agency. According to NFL Network's Mike Silver, the Seahawks have spoken to veteran running back Carlos Hyde.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the Seahawks were among the teams that were expressing interest in signing Devonta Freeman. As a matter of fact, Seattle actually offered Freeman a one-year deal worth $4 million for next season.

Besides Freeman, the Seahawks appear to be interested in possibly adding Hyde to their backfield. Just this past season, Hyde spent the season with the Houston Texans after being traded from the Kansas City Chiefs.

In his lone season in Houston, Hyde rushed for a career-high 1,070 yards and six touchdowns. Surprisingly enough, it was the first time in Hyde's career that he's been able to surpass 1,000 yards in a single season.

However, after having a career year with the Texans, Hyde was set to hit free agency. Instead of re-signing with Houston, the former second-round pick chose to decline a contract offer from the Texans.

Despite turning 30 years old in September, Hyde is beginning to drum up some interest in free agency. Aside from the Seahawks, the Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly shown interest in adding Hyde.

For Seattle, they already have a loaded backfield with Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, and Travis Homer. Plus, the Seahawks have recently spoken to Marshawn Lynch about possibly returning to the team again in 2020. Seeing that Seattle is showing interest in Freeman and Hyde, that could be a sign that Lynch won't be returning to the team next season.
