UFC 302 is right around the corner, and Sean Strickland will be hopping back in the octagon to take on Paulo Costa in the co-main fight of the night. Strickland will be hoping to get back in the win column after he came up short in his most recent fight at UFC 297 back in January against Dricus Du Plessis.

Strickland is putting the finishing touches on his preparation for the bout with Costa, but that hasn't stopped him from taking shots at whoever seems to be irritating him on that day, which is standard operating procedure for him at this point. This time, retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady was the target, as Strickland viciously bashed Brady with just a few quick sentences.

Brady spent 23 seasons in the NFL as a quarterback, and he is widely regarded as the greatest player of all time in the game's history. Brady won seven Super Bowl championships on his own, which is more than any team has ever won in the history of the league. His consistent greatness under center has made him one of the biggest stars in the world.

Some folks simply don't like Brady, though, after they spent decades watching him continually beat their teams, and Strickland may be one of those guys. He clearly isn't a fan of what Brady has been doing as of late, and he wasn't exactly shy when it came to expressing his thoughts on the legendary passer.

Strickland has a history of making controversial comments, particularly when it comes to LGBTQ+ issues, and his comments on Brady here certainly will be joining that list it appears. While it's OK to not like certain players or athletes, Strickland typically crosses the line when he says these sorts of things, and he seems to have done so again when it comes to his thoughts on Brady.

While Brady spent a lot of his career in the NFL taking a beating from opposing defensive linemen, there's a pretty big difference between playing football and fighting like Strickland does. Football players have other things they are attempting to accomplish when they take the field; when Strickland and other fighters enter the octagon, their sole mission is to beat their opponent into submission.

There's a decent chance Brady isn't as tough as Strickland, but there aren't many people who are. Still, you have to be pretty tough in order to play 23 years in the NFL, which is what Brady somehow managed to do. Still, you aren't going to see him picking a fight with Strickland, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he ultimately ended up ignoring these comments in order to avoid doing anything to anger Strickland further.
