After 2013-14 MVP Kevin Durant left Oklahoma City for Golden State yesterday, Thunder fans nationwide expressed their misery with the 3-time scoring champion's decision. Some ended up burning his jersey and releasing statements on the internet towards the (now) Warriors' highest-paid player. Yet, Oklahoma's misery brought vindication for Seattle fans who saw their beloved SuperSonics relocate to OKC starting with the 2008-09 season.

Throughout the past couple of years, Pacific Northwest basketball fans have created a sincere movement to try and reestablish a team in Seattle, but it's yet to truly catch legal traction with the association. One Seattle fan, Seattle local Fox station Channel 13 news anchor Billy Wixey took to his twitter account in order to express the ex-SuperSonics fans' misery, writing that the “hole” in Oklahomans' broken hearts are merely a repeat of Seattle's ailment.

Surely, the midwest franchise will be shaken for a bit of this offseason, especially with their other franchise icon, point guard Russell Westbrook, now reportedly refusing to sign an extension with the team. With OKC's situation threatening on worsening, Seattle fans can only feel some sense of karma for their perceived injustice from the franchise's relocation.
