The alleged leaks of images for a new Silent Hill game give us a glimpse at what the new games for the franchise will be like.

Some purported screenshots and artworks have been making the rounds on the Internet, and are allegedly from one of the three new Silent Hill titles that Konami is currently working on. However, we're not yet sure which of the three these screenshots come from. Either way, the images have some degree of veracity because of a couple of reasons. One, some of the images have the signature of Masahiro Ito, the creative behind the iconic Pyramid Head and the world of the older Silent Hill games. The other reason is that the leaked images came from AestheticGamer, who also leaked images for Capcom's Resident Evil 8 before its release. To top everything off, AestheticGamer allegedly received a DMCA takedown notice to have these images removed from his profile, which might indicate that these images are legit. The official Silent Hill Twitter account is even following his account now, probably to keep tabs on his leaks.

On the other hand, the images do look dated and do not utilize the latest graphic engines. One of the images shows the year 2020 in it, which might indicate that these images originate two years back. Right now, Konami has not formally acknowledged these images, so the only thing we can do now to verify these images is to wait.

The last Silent Hill game in the main series came out way back in 2012, about ten years ago. A purported Silent Hill game was reportedly in the works and manifested as the infamous PT Demo, but never materialized due to Konami's cutting ties with Hideo Kojima. We don't know which world would have been a better reality – the world where Kojima stayed and we could have had a Silent Hill game from five years back, or this reality where we live in where we have Death Stranding. Either way, it appears that we're getting the next Silent Hill in a few year's time tops.
