The recent reports stating that Jimmy Butler is challenging Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown are concerning for Sixers fans. Butler was supposed to be the star to help put the Sixers over the top, but it appears that he's bringing his drama-filled antics instead.

Butler's agent is denying that there are any issues and maintains that everything is fine in Philly. On ESPN's “The Jump,” Amin El-Hassan spoke about Butler's challenge to Brown:

“I talked to Bernie Lee, Jimmy Butler's agent. He said, ‘Yeah, they talk every day. They have zero issues. He knows that's how he communicates. It's not unlike Draymond Green and Steve Kerr.'”

Butler doesn't seem happy with his role in the offense. If what Lee says is true, Butler's challenge to Brown shouldn't be a huge issue. Butler is a very demanding player, and Philly is just starting to figure out exactly what that means.

Butler forced his way off the Minnesota Timberwolves because he wanted to win. Now that he's winning in Philadelphia, he's apparently still not happy. The Sixers are 16-5 with Butler in the lineup.

Of course, the team will need time to develop their chemistry. It can be difficult to integrate a ball-dominant star into a new situation in the middle of the season. It's even more difficult when Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid dominate the ball as well.

The reports of Butler's unhappiness are concerning, but this is definitely something that the Sixers can figure out as the season goes on.
