Joel Embiid's wit was right up there with the quality of performance he put out against the L.A. Clippers on Monday to grab the 109-106 road win.

The Process tallied a game-high 32 points and 16 rebounds, coming one point shy of his career high, while tying his career-best in rebounds for a game. Embiid also logged a season-high 36 minutes on the court after the Sixers had been utmost careful in deploying him for long stretches — prompting this remark after he was told about his minutes total.

“Now we’re not going to be using the per 36 stats, that’s good,” he said following the game, according to Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philly.

Embiid's numbers were already impressive last season, as he totaled 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game through 31 outings — but his averages were out of this world when extrapolated to a per 36 minute basis — rating him higher than any other center in the game.

The Sixers' cornerstone talent has already picked up where he left off last season, averaging 20.9 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks through the first 11 games of his season — numbers which turn into a scary 26.4 points, 13.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 1.4 steals per game through 36 minutes.

Embiid has played 28.5 minutes per game through the start of the Sixers' season, missing only two games due to rest through the early stretch.
