Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid is the gift that keeps on giving – on and off the court – for the Sixers. In his latest social media gimmick, Embiid posted a GIF of the Undertaker getting up from a coffin on his Twitter account. This, of course, is the center’s own way of reacting to the news that his rookie teammate, Markelle Fultz, is available to see action tonight against the Denver Nuggets at home following a lengthy absence.

While Fultz is not expected to play heavy minutes right away, the fact that he is over the physical and mental humps brought about by his enigmatic shoulder injury is definitely good news for the Sixers, who are, for the first time in many seasons, will play in the playoffs this year.

Fultz was selected first overall by Philly in last year’s NBA Draft, but a shoulder injury has limited him to only four games played so far this season. With Ben Simmons having solidified his grip on the starting point guard role, Fultz is going to be serving as Simmons’ backup for the meantime.

Including the Nuggets tilt, the Sixers only have 10 games left on their regular-season schedule, so there should be ample time for Fultz to acclimatize himself in an official NBA game environment.

Fultz’s return should also cut into the playing time of T.J. McConnell and Jerryd Bayless.

Entering the match against Denver, the Sixers have a 42-30 record – just 1.5 games behind of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third spot in the Eastern Conference.
