With this season's trade deadline drawing near, most teams around the NBA are keeping a close eye on available players who they feel might add value (and performance) to their respective rosters. The Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks can be counted among these teams. According to a report from Michael Scotto of The Athletic, the Sixers are interested in Hawks guard Marco Belinelli.

“The Philadelphia 76ers remain in the hunt for Atlanta Hawks guard Marco Belinelli, Scotto writes in his recent post. “Philadelphia is dangling a second-round pick as trade bait.”

Belinelli, now 31 years of age, is a solid wing player with a good shot. In his 52 games played this season, the former 18th overall pick in the 2007 Draft has turned in averages of 11.4 points on 41.1 percent shooting from the field (37.2 percent from beyond the arc), 2.0 assists, and 1.9 rebounds.

Belinelli was held out of Atlanta's 108-82 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday because of ongoing trade talks. It has been reported that the Hawks are seeking a second round pick in return for his services — a fairly reasonable request due to his expiring contract.

Whether or not the Sixers and Hawks will be be able to come together on a deal for Belinelli before this season's trade deadline remains to be seen. Be sure to keep your browsers locked on ClutchPoints for more updates on this topic as they become available.
