Ben Simmons is firm on his decision to get traded away from the Philadelphia 76ers. In fact, he reportedly has no plans of showing his face to Philly fans ever again as he continues to force his way out of the City of Brotherly Love.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN in his recent interview on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Sixers fans are a factor in Simmons' refusal to go back to the city and even try to fix his relationship with the team. He has made his decision, and it looks like there's no turning back for him now.

For what it's worth, Sixers fans are known to be harsh on players. They will cheer for them when they are winning and jeer at them when they are not playing well. The pressure to perform on a daily basis is huge, so it's not surprising why some people like Ben Simmons don't like that kind of atmosphere.

However, it really depends on the player. Just like what former Sixers swingman Justin Anderson said, Philly fans show their appreciation when you work hard and win.

It remains to be seen how the Sixers-Simmons drama will end up. It certainly appears that the Aussie star has played his last game for the team–even refusing to meet his teammates who wanted to change his mind–but Philly has the leverage considering that Simmons is under contract with them for four more years.
