Now in the category of “news you didn’t know you needed, but now that you know it, you’re glad you do,” the Philadelphia 76ers had an interesting occurrence take place on the bench during the Sixers' blowout of the Brooklyn Nets in Game 3:

Speaking of blowouts, it seems that someone on or around the Philly bench let loose a little flatulence during the course of the game and numerous players were caught hiding their noses to avoid the stench.

Sure, this might not be the most scintillating of moments in a game that featured some amazing three-point marksmanship from J.J. Redick and Tobias Harris, as well as a king-making performance from Ben Simmons after his verbal sparring with Jared Dudley, but you have to admit it’s pretty funny.

It’s hard to say what the best part of this video is. Maybe Zhaire Smith’s impish gaze and chuckles as he looks at Joel Embiid? Or perhaps it’s Embiid himself, who (not one for niceties) simply says “who farted?” to no one in particular.

Indeed, Embiid has the right idea. Who was the culprit? James Ennis is high on the list, as his rump was directly facing the trio shown on the video when the smell was seemingly first discovered. However, Smith is playing it cool (perhaps in a guilty way), and Embiid suffers from the “who smelt it dealt it” axiom in this scenario.

No matter what, with an easy 16-point victory in the books, the 76ers definitely had a gas on Thursday night.
