The Pittsburgh Steelers' showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs fit the billing as a high-scoring affair in Week 2. Unfortunately, wide receiver Antonio Brown was unable to reap the spoils after dealing with an unknown injury.

Brown was unable to log in his full usual workload in Pittsburgh's loss to Kansas City. According to Evan Silva of Rotoworld, the star wideout had been dealing with a calf injury.

Steelers WR Antonio Brown has been battling calf & quad injuries on & off for awhile. Suffered partial calf tear last Week 15. Missed time in camp with quad injury. Was hobbled by calf injury on Sunday.

The update adds salt to the Steelers' wound after failing to register a win yet again. It is clear that Brown has a track record when it comes to dealing with injuries to his lower extremities. As a result, there may be some concern about his status moving forward.

Pittsburgh relied heavily on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's arm during their aerial battle with Kansas City in Week 2. Roethlisberger completed 39-of-60 attempts for 452 yards and three touchdowns. However, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and tight end Jesse James were the main recipients after each registered over 100 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Brown finished with just nine catches for 67 yards. His underwhelming performance is indicative of the bar he has set as the best wideout in the NFL. The Steelers will need to monitor his injury closely in order to do prevent any further damage. Pittsburgh has high expectations for this season despite their slow start. They certainly cannot afford to have two of their superstars on offense absent for an extended period of time.
