The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly not optimistic that star wide receiver Antonio Brown will be able to play in their crucial Week 17 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals due to his lingering knee injury.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN:

Not a lot of optimism that WR Antonio Brown, listed as questionable for Sunday due to knee soreness, will play against the Bengals, per sources. Brown’s knee has not responded well to last week’s game on turf, and he did not take part in Saturday practice. Final decision Sunday.

Brown missed practice time this week and had tests done on his knee a few days ago.

Brown is coming off his best game of the season as he had 14 catches for 185 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort against the New Orleans Saints. However, it came with a price as his knee came out worse for wear in the turf.

Brown has had another Pro Bowl-caliber campaign for Pittsburgh. In 15 games this season, Brown has recorded 104 catches for 1,297 yards and a career-high 15 touchdowns.

After losing three of their last four games, the Steelers are now facing a must-win situation against the Bengals. They also need help in the form of a Ravens loss if they are to make it into the postseason.

Possibly not having their top receiver in Brown will obviously be a big blow to the team. But they still have a top receiver in JuJu Smith-Schuster to call upon against a severely banged up Bengals team that’s dropped six of its last seven games.

As it stands, Pittsburgh is a 14.5-point favorite at home against Cincinnati, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!
