The Pittsburgh Steelers had a very rough season last year, and the tumultuous offseason that followed resulted in both Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell leaving the team. Now, the Steelers will head into 2019 with a fresher outlook, and a suddenly very competitive AFC North conference. Despite the turmoil, the team still has full confidence in itself, and in head coach Mike Tomlin.

Speaking to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler for a new report on the Steelers coach, many players praised Tomlin and what he does for the team.

“Every team except one team in the NFL would love to have him,” said Steelers linebacker Anthony Chickillo, referencing the New England Patriots, who have won six Super Bowls with Bill Belichick. “His résumé speaks for itself. That's what I want out of a coach.”

According to offensive guard Ramon Foster, he thinks that most of the entire league would play for Tomlin if given the chance.

“I'm sure if you ask all 1,200 players in this league which one [of the coaches] they'd rather play for, he's at the top of the list,” Foster said.

Regardless of the drama and speculation surrounding Tomlin and the Steelers last year, it’s clear that a large majority of the team still prefers to have him.

As Pittsburgh looks to return to the playoffs after missing out last year, they’ll need to contend with the likes of the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens in their division, and the suddenly very good AFC as a conference.

With Tomlin leading the way, we’ve seen before that the Steelers can contend with anyone, and if the team is confident in itself, then the sky could be the limit for them.
