The Watt brothers have managed to take the league by storm in recent years. And now, it appears two of them will now be playing alongside each other on Sundays.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, former Los Angeles Chargers fullback Derek Watt will be joining his brother T.J. with the Pittsburgh Steelers:

Steelers Head coach Mike Tomlin will now have one to work with on each side of the ball for the 2020 NFL season.

Derek is the middle child of the Watt trio. He was initially taken by the Chargers in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Although he has never been one to produce eye-popping numbers, his versatile skill set has helped him maintain his job as one of the few true fullbacks in the league.

Watt helped pave the way for the Chargers' explosive rushing attack between running backs Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler. He will now be tasked with doing the same for Steelers' running back James Conner, who is coming off an injury-riddled 2019 NFL season. Watt will be a key blocker to help open running lanes and should help pay huge dividends for Conner.

Additionally, T.J. can have some fun with the fact that he will now be competing with his older brother once again at the highest level. And while Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is left as the odd man out, the Steelers are set to host the Texans in the upcoming NFL season, which should make for quite the family reunion.
