After suffering a big loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, the Golden State Warriors bounced back with a vengeance in Wednesday night’s Game 2 matchup.

The Warriors took the lead early and never looked back, ultimately winning the game 118-91. The win came with some major changes when compared to Game 1 where the Thunder outrebounded the Warriors 52-44 and had 11 turnovers to Golden State’s 14.

Game 2 saw a much different outcome in large part due to the changes in these categories and much better shooting from their star players like Steph Curry. The Warriors outrebounded the Thunder 45-36 in Game 2 and had 12 turnovers as compared to the Thunder’s 15. This was the first time the Warriors have outrebounded in their five games against the Thunder this season.

Steph Curry was another major part of the Warriors’ Game 2 success. While his stat line may have looked more impressive in Game 1, Stephen Curry had a much better shooting game in Game 2, scoring 28 points and shooting 5-of-8 from beyond the 3-point line. He shot 6-of-14 from 3-point range in Game 1.

The series now heads back to OKC tied 1-1. Though the Warriors are still the favorites, the Thunder have shown already shown how tough they can be when they’re rebounding well and minimizing their turnovers. We’ll see if they can steal another one away in Game 3 to put the Warriors back on the ropes. The next game starts at 8:00pm (EST) on Sunday.
