Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry recently came across a new bit of trivia that caught him pleasantly by surprise. The former back-to-back MVP winner definitely knows how good his dad, Dell Curry, was during his playing days, but as it turns out, even Steph didn't know that his father holds the all-time record for most points off the bench.

Steph was absolutely psyched to learn about his dad's achievement, which came to light due to the fact that Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams jumped to the second spot on the list following his 40-point outburst on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Unfortunately for Steph, his dad will be conceding the top spot on the prestigious list to Williams very soon. The Clippers veteran point guard now needs just 28 points before passing Dell for the most all-time points off the bench, so we should expect a new record-holder within the next week or so.

The good news for Steph is that there is something to smile about with regards to his team's recent victory. The Dubs defeated the second-places Denver Nuggets on Friday, 122-105, which allowed them to move two games clear at the top spot in the West.

The Warriors are scheduled to take the court again on Sunday, as they face the Phoenix Suns in a game wherein they will be the heavy favorites. It's going to be a tougher matchup on Wednesday, as they try and take one against the Houston Rockets in their home floor.

The playoffs is fast approaching, and the next few weeks will be critical for the Warriors as they aim to retain the No. 1 seed in the West.
