Chris Paul and Scott Foster just don't go well together, but that also puts the Phoenix Suns at a disadvantage.

Such notion was further emphasized after the Suns' latest loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 3 of the 2021 NBA Finals. Apparently, the defeat has now given Paul and Phoenix a 1-12 record in the last 13 postseason games where Foster was part of the officiating roster.

The Suns' lone win came in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Clippers. However, it is worth noting that Chris Paul was inactive in the said contest due to COVID-19 protocols. With that said, it basically means the veteran playmaker has lost 12 straight games already with Scott Foster as a referee.

While a game or two is understandable, getting that losing streak is definitely ridiculous and is far more than just a coincidence.

Another tidbit of information that will surely add to the frustration of Paul is the fact that they only had 16 attempts from the free-throw line in Game 3. As for the Bucks, they were given 26 freebies and made 20 of those–with Giannis Antetokounmpo getting the most trips from the charity stripe with 17, making 13.

For what it's worth, CP3 himself has spoken about the issue before, also pointing out the freebies that Foster gave to their opponents.

The Suns' record with Foster as a referee is truly mind-boggling, but since the NBA hasn't taken action about it despite the previous comments from Paul, it's best not to expect something will change.
