Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul achieved another career milestone by earning his 11th All-Star selection on Tuesday night. However, he claimed that it was the “most bittersweet” since his running mate in Devin Booker failed to be selected to the list of All-Star reserves, via NBA on TNT.

Paul will represent the Suns on March 7 thanks to his averages of 16.6 points on 48.5% from the floor to go with 4.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists in 29 appearances. On the other hand, Booker is recording norms of 24.7 points on 50.1% shooting from the field along with 3.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists through 26 games played.

However, all is not lost for the Kentucky product. He can still be called up to the All-Star Game due to the injury situation of Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis. Booker will potentially be called as an All-Star replacement for the second straight year after he slotted in for Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard last season.

The snub of Booker eventually garnered the attention of many fans who protested that he should have been selected over some of the other players named to the Western Conference All-Star reserves.

True enough, both of them are certainly deserving as they continue to lead a huge turnaround for the Suns this season. From a borderline playoff team last season, the Phoenix-based squad has now improved to sit in the fourth spot in the Western Conference with a 20-10 record.

As of the moment, Devin Booker will have to wait for the developments regarding Anthony Davis in a bid to make his second straight All-Star appearance this season.
