Tekken 8 Official Launch Trailer Details

With just a few days left before the official Tekken 8 release date, Bandai Namco continues to hype up the fighting game genre's fans with more information for the newest King of Iron Fist Tournament that will take place during Kazuya's reign as he inches towards global domination. In case you haven't seen it yet, we share the video below:

Tekken 8 Storyline Updates via Launch Trailer

We get a little bit more details about how the epic storyline of Tekken is about to unravel for this edition of the franchise. What's notable about the official launch trailer is that these fighters are not just battling for their glory but for their countries as well. As we quote Kazuya in the video, he mentions “Those who fail to prove their might shall be wiped from the Earth along with their country.” A very eerie announcement coming from a man who is almost at the top of the world, controlling everything, and destroying anything that stands in his way.

Someone in the video shares that “We must seek Jin Kazama” given that he is the only person who can go head-to-head against Kazuya Mishima, who happens to be his father. Both Kazuya and Jin possess the Devil Gene that grants the person unmeasurable strength that turns them into a winged demon. After Jin has finally been able to recover from all of his personal battles to further develop himself to be a great fighter, he now comes forth and stands up against his father, fully focused on taking on the task of finally ending what has been disrupting the world's peace.

There are interesting scenes that you can find in this specific video like when Jin tells us “This hope you've entrusted to me, I will make it count, I swear!”. We wonder if he is talking about his mother, Jun Kazama, or someone else. Another great scene is when Reina is situated in the battlefield with a transformed Devil Kazuya unleashing a wild beam of power.

Outstanding Storytelling

There is more to Tekken 8 than just duking it out against your opponent, whether it's an AI computer or against a real person. What sets Tekken apart from its competitors is its magnificent storytelling that revolves around three generations of Mishimas that started with Heihachi Mishima, who has been thrown down a volcano by his son, Kazuya Mishima, who is now trying to attain world domination but is faced off against his son, Jin Kazama, who is hell-bent on making sure that it does not happen.

Outrageous Graphics

One thing to take note of in the official launch trailer of Tekken 8 is the seamlessness of how the cut scenes were done to blend in together with the actual fighting scenes of the game. This was perfectly depicted in Jin Kazama and Hwoarang's battle. Bandai Namco has pushed the envelope to another level, making sure that they deliver a quality game after releasing its predecessor Tekken 7 nine years ago. The Tekken 8 roster sure appears more realistic and even better than how its previous games were and we can expect more characters to be added in like Eddy Gordo who has been announced to be the latest addition to the roster via the Tekken 8 DLC in the Season Pass that comes by purchasing either the Deluxe, Ultimate, or Collector's Edition of the game.
