Before Season 8 drops, a new Fortnite mode is coming in to tide us all over – Fortnite Impostors. It features gameplay that is quite similar to the hit indie game, Among Us. It will be set in a new location called “The Bridge.”
New Fortnite mode – Fortnite Impostors
Up to ten players can participate in the new Fortnite mode. Eight players will play as Agents, trying to keep everything on track. Meanwhile, the remaining two players will play as Impostors and attempt to sabotage everything. Similar to Among Us, players will have tasks to complete, like calibrations, battle bus repairs, and delivering reports. Completing these tasks accelerates progress, and once they're all finished, agents will get the victory.
On the other side, Impostors' goal will be to stop the agents from completing their tasks. In the new Fortnite mode, they will be able to disable assignments, teleport other players… and even turn them into bananas for a while. Their victory will be earned once they eliminate all the Agents before they're discovered.
The new Fortnite mode was revealed through a trailer, showing off “The Bridge” in the middle of a workday. However, chaos soon descends and they scramble to find the Impostor hiding in their midst.
