Only hours away from his debut with his new team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony made his loudest statement to date over Twitter this morning.

“You watched me walk through hell, now watch me walk up out it,” said his caption, along with a photo of himself in a Thunder uniform.

Anthony has recently talked about the nightmarish 2016-17 season he spent with the New York Knicks and his relationship with the team, the city, his teammates, and former president Phil Jackson.

Melo noted he felt “stabbed in the back” by Jackson, who wanted to get rid of him so badly that he'd trade him “for a bag of chips.”

While the 10-time All-Star clearly has some resentment for what took place during his last stint with the team, he's holding no grudges toward the organization and looks to make tonight's game his turning of the page into a whole new chapter with his new organization.

Anthony looked especially sharp during his preseason debut with the team, but he's expected to be a third option as Russell Westbrook and Paul George become the active scorers.

The 33-year-old will match up against his protege, Kristaps Porzingis as he lines up at the power forward position tonight at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
