The emergency players and coaches meeting held on Wednesday stemming from the boycott of all three games scheduled did not exactly end well, according to reports. However, one of the most admirable things that was revealed from the said meeting was how NBPA president Chris Paul was able to get every single one of his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates to register to vote for the upcoming elections.

Voter registration has been one of the most important potential, long-term solutions that has been identified as a response to the gripping issue of systemic racism in the nation today. More than a few players have been promoting this notion through various means, but Paul's actions with his Thunder pals is perhaps the most concrete manifestation of the same.

Clearly, Chris Paul does not only talk the talk, but more importantly, he delivers. This is yet another laudable act from the All-Star point guard, who has been one of the most prominent figures in the league in the fight for racial equality. The Thunder has been a huge influence for the rest of the players, and his contributions to the movement are immeasurable.

All three playoff games that were slated for Wednesday have been postponed, with teams and players opting to boycott. All this was brought about by the recent shooting of Jacob Blake, which has been seen by many as yet another case of police violence against the Black community.

The season is now in jeopardy, with talks of teams looking into the possibility of sitting out the rest of the playoffs. Surely, CP3 will remain a prominent voice in this respect.
