“It's gotta be the shoes” was a moniker that became famous with the Air Jordan shoe line in Nike commercials, where the answer for the question of how Michael Jordan did what he did on the court arose.

It became a popular tagline that sparked its own craze, which hasn't been the case for any other brand athlete since. That is until now when Carmelo Anthony came along and found his own niche without even trying.

Through his time with the New York Knicks, quietly dealing with trade rumors and rescinded deals through this summer, the Oklahoma City Thunder star was found working out and playing in scrimmage games in local gyms wearing a hoodie around his head, which eventually went viral and caught on with fans around the world.

NBA2K18 featured the now born Hoodie Melo rating although that particular player is not necessarily in the game.

The 6'9″ forward embraced his alter ego persona and now those that wanted to buy in can finally get their wish.

Celebrating Anthony's regular-season debut with the Thunder, Jordan Brand has heard the fans and decided to launch and release a Hoodie Melo-inspired sweatshirt while the Thunder visits the Knicks on Nike.com.

The hoodie sweatshirt features the words “HOODIE SZN” written across the front with a centered Jumpman logo in Thunder team colors, similar to the original Air Jordan boxes from the 1990's.

Unfortunately for latecomers who want to be early adopters, the items sold out quickly.
