Oklahoma City Thunder star small forward Paul George says the Thunder are going to have a “different mentality” in Game 5 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

George and the Thunder are down 3-1 in the series and will be underdogs in Game 5 since the Blazers easily won Games 1 and 2 at home.

Despite the odds being against the Thunder, George believes OKC is built to come back from a 3-1 series deficit:

George is averaging 26.8 points in the series, but he's shooting just 37.0 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from beyond the arc. It's clear George isn't 100 percent. His shoulders are still bothering him, and the Thunder might lose the series because their swingman hasn't been shooting the ball well.

The same can be said about Russell Westbrook. The former MVP is shooting 36.3 percent overall and 30.4 percent from the 3-point line in the series. In the Thunder's Game 4 loss, Westbrook scored one point in the second half and didn't hit a shot from the field. The eight-time All-Star has been thoroughly outplayed by Blazers star Damian Lillard, who is putting up 28.8 points in the series and shooting 43.9 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from beyond the arc.

If the Thunder lose Game 5, that will be three straight first-round exits for OKC since Kevin Durant left for the Golden State Warriors in the summer of 2016.
