ESPN Analyst Paul Pierce hasn't come short of making bold predictions and far out statements. Fresh out of retirement, the Boston Celtics legend hopped directly into the broadcasting booth to give more than a little of his opinion on various topics.

He already considers Boston Celtics draft pick Jason Tatum as a stud and believes he has a similar but more mature game than his own as an NBA player when he was of the same age as the rookie out of Duke.

Not long ago when asked about the Celtics' chances of winning the Eastern Conference, Pierce stated he believed they were poised to dethrone LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Pierce, to many fans' agreement, also joined the fray by criticizing Kevin Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors.

In yet another recent, event Paul Pierce went looking for Brandon Jennings in China for making remarks about him not deserving a farewell tour and posted the video on social media.

All these helped in Pierce gaining plenty of attention while NBA basketball hibernated for months.

Now, the Celtics great has given his preseason prediction on who he sees winning the NBA Championship during an episode of ESPN's The Jump. As much as the Warriors and Cavs are favored again to meet in June, Pierce instead sees the Oklahoma City Thunder as the victors when the smoke clears.

That may have something to do with the team acquiring Paul George and Carmelo Anthony this summer to pair with Russell Westbrook, which possibly reminds him of the strength of having an All-Star studded Big 3 core, which he himself can attest to how much that kind of star power increases the chances of getting a ring.

While the Thunder have become a top contender in the western conference, there is little guarantee they will advance to the Finals, especially not knowing how well the chemistry will develop, and how well they will fare against other top contenders in a seven-game series.
