Russell Westbrook is a bad man on the basketball court. But off the court, Westbrook is a family man, and he and his wife, Nina, are preparing to welcome some new additions to the family.

The Oklahoma City Thunder posted a video to YouTube and Twitter in which Russell and Nina announced they are having twins.

Nina: There will be two of them, we're having twins. If Noah gets out of hand they'll be able to both jump on him at the same time.

Russell: It's obviously something that is not obviously, you know, normal, but I think it's something very, very exciting for us and something I look forward to. Just, you know, having two girls is exciting in itself, but just having been able to be blessed and have more children I think is a complete honor and it's a blessing to start there and after that as parents, I think we can take the rest so we'll be fine.

Fans are used to seeing Westbrook prowling the backcourt with a scowl across his face. He's one of the most feared basketball players on the break and his thunderous dunks are a fixture on late-night highlight reels.

But he does have a softer side, which appears to come out whenever he's around his family.

The aforementioned Noah Westbrook is the couples' first child and will be a big brother to twin girls. Westbrook is preparing for his season to start, but welcoming twins into the world is definitely more intimidating than staring down Kevin Durant and the Warriors on opening night, though he may miss the game due to knee surgery.
