The Oklahoma City Thunder are continuing their efforts in mounting up on draft picks ahead of the NBA Draft. They have reportedly shown interest in acquiring the Minnesota Timberwolves' No.17 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, according to Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo.

What the Thunder are willing to give up for the 17th pick remains unclear, but they've surely been busy since the start of the offseason. They recently acquired Al Horford on Wednesday in exchange for Danny Green along with a first-round and second-round pick, which adds to their compilation of first-round picks through 2026.

The Thunder are also reportedly in the works of moving on from big man Steven Adams and shipping off newly acquired wing Kelly Oubre Jr. They could be looking to include one of the two or a combination of both in the deal for Minnesota's pick.

Sam Presti has been quick to move on from players and plan for the future. His first move of trading Chris Paul to the Phoenix Suns allowed him to shed some salary for the foreseeable future, which can be useful in future trades. One obvious notion that has been monitored is the idea of the Thunder electing to make Shai Gilgeous-Alexander their cornerstone for the future while drafting and acquiring high-caliber pieces.

The Timberwolves, on the other hand, are in win-now mode with Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell set to enter their primes in Minnesota. The front office has been active in trying to acquire talent to surround the duo with in hopes of making deep runs in the postseason.
