The Minnesota Timberwolves will be playing the Utah Jazz tonight without Derrick Rose and Jeff Teague.

Teague will now be out for three straight games because of left foot soreness. He was initially expected to return tonight against the Jazz but has ultimately been ruled out. The veteran guard has already said prior to the Wolves' game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday that his injury is related to the ankle issue that left him unavailable for nine consecutive contests between mid-December until early January.

Meanwhile, Rose left Thursday's contest against the Los Angeles Lakers because of ankle soreness, Reports say he can play, but the Timberwolves are taking precautionary measures to make sure everything is fine with him.

Jerryd Bayless is expected to see a lot of minutes at the point tonight.

Rose is putting up 18.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.8 rebounds this season, while Teague has season averages of 11.5 points, 8.1 assists, and 2.4 rebounds.

The Wolves can't seem to catch a break this season, as they keep encountering setbacks while trying to fight their way into the Western Conference playoff race. While there's still plenty of time for them to make a run for one of the final spots, it will take a little bit of luck for them to make the postseason this year.
