Karl-Anthony Towns used to be a soft-spoken star who would rather let his game do the talking. The KAT of old is gone, though. These days, the Minnesota Timberwolves center no longer holds back when pissed.

Towns did just that after the Timberwolves' disappointing home defeat at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, via Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

“We just gotta play better, all of us. It’s pretty simple as that. I’ve lost for a long time here. I’m not trying to fucking lose anymore.”

The final tally was 123-106 but the game was more lopsided than what the scoreboard suggests. The home team never tasted the lead throughout the entire game. Cleveland even held a 32-point lead in the middle of the fourth quarter. They punched the Timberwolves in the face as soon as the opening tip, racing to a 20-4 advantage early.

The Timberwolves shot a sad 39% from the field. Towns led the team with 21 hard-earned points on 8-of-19 shooting to go along with five turnovers. The Cavs' top-tier defense shackled Minnesota for 48 minutes as the visitors shopped for their 15th win at Target Center.

Towns and Co. have been hounded by inconsistency thus far. The Timberwolves started the season with a 4-13 record. They blitzed their way to winning seven of their next eight games. However, their latest loss extends the Timberwolves' skid to five games.

The Timberwolves get another chance to end their losing streak when they visit the ailing Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
