Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Jimmy Butler is a fearless man on the court. Off of it, he’s afraid of at least one thing: heights. We discovered that one out when someone uploaded an Instagram video showing the 6’8” Butler finding comfort from a tree during a hike at Chiefs Mountain in Montana.

Watch the hilarious video of Butler embracing a tree while singing a tune to help calm his nerves. Oh, Jimmy.

Ideally for Butler, he and the Timberwolves would still be playing in the playoffs instead of finding vacation spots. Unfortunately for them, they were eliminated by the Houston Rockets in the first round of the postseason, four games to one.

Butler’s first season in Timberwolves did not end up with the result the team envisioned last year when they splurged in the offseason by acquiring Butler, Jeff Teague, Jamal Crawford, and Taj Gibson, but at least they spared themselves of the embarrassment of being a lottery team when they sneaked into the playoffs as a No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.

Last season, Butler averaged 22.2 points, 4.9 assists, and 5.3 rebounds in 59 games played for Minnesota.

For now, climbing mountains will keep Butler busy. Hopefully, for Minnesota, Butler will help the team hike new heights next season.
