The Tennessee Titans have been able to advance in the playoffs in large part due to their rushing attack but they could use all of the firepower they can get. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Adam Humphries is going to be active versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Humphries has been sidelined for over a month due to a high-ankle sprain. More specifically, Humphries hasn't played for the Titans since their Week 13 bout against the Indianapolis Colts.

Prior to suffering the injury, the fifth-year wide receiver hauled in 37 receptions for 374 yards and two touchdowns. With A.J. Brown and Corey Davis in the offense, Humphries became the No. 3 wide receiver in Tennessee's aerial attack.

In addition, Jonnu Smith has emerged as a reliable weapon for Ryan Tannehill through the air. Given that, it remains to be seen what type of role that Humphries has upon his return from injury.

The last time that the Titans faced the Chiefs in Week 10, Humphries caught the game-winning touchdown with under a minute remaining in the game. The touchdown reception by the Clemson product was his only catch in the contest.

In Tennessee's first two playoff games, they've been able to lean on Derrick Henry offensively. But with the Chiefs being the team that is between them and a Super Bowl, the Titans may need to throw the ball more often.

Kansas City's offense led by Patrick Mahomes was able to record 51 points against the Houston Texans last Sunday. Therefore, the Titans may need Humphries to be an unsung hero for their offense if they hope to make their first Super Bowl appearance since 1999.
